I went to see my friend Mother Barb for a long weekend. She lives in Sister Bay, Wisconsin – roughly 80 miles NORTH of Green Bay. I took a few shots on the drive up.

    15,000 Feet over Lake Michigan

This is a shot from the plane at about 15,000 feet as we came in over Lake Michigan – around 7:00 a.m.

    Tacos and Brats

About a third of the way to Sister Bay you go through the unfortunately named town of Dyckesville, which is a VERY happening place. The other side of this sign listed the rest of the menu, which I think included burgers and beer.

    Almost the Best Bloody Marys

    Almost the Best Bloody Marys
This is across the street from the bowling alley. I’m not sure how Jamaican Cookouts and Bloody Marys fit together, especially in this part of the country, but apparently they do.

These were all over the place. If you look carefully you will notice that the back of his hat is tilted up. What’s up with that?

    Cave Point Tree

This is the first of the artsy shots I took at Cave Point.

Yes, that IS ice on that rock and it’s also an unfrozen Lake Michigan – in January!

The last artsy shot – this is currently my wallpaper!

    Pac-Man

    Pac-Man
My favorite sign – Pac Man got a snowmobile! No pesky ghosts catching him now!

Spotted on the way from Green Bay to Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Look carefully and you can see the back of the farmer’s hat is tilted up. ALL of the signs were like this.

I took a couple of shots from my apartment in Waltham during a snow storm on January 25, 2006.

    Looking Southeast

    Looking Southeast
Looking out over the driveway up to my place. Now you see why I bought a Jeep.

    Looking Northeast

    Looking Northeast
This is looking up toward the intersection of Lexington Street and Trapelo Road. This looked much cooler before dawn – you could see all the lights on the shops at the intersection.
